KidRadar Privacy Policy
Effective date: March 2026. This Privacy Policy explains what data KidRadar collects, how we use it, when we share it, how long we keep it, and what rights and choices users have.
KidRadar ("we", "us", "our") provides a mobile app and related services that help families discover child-friendly places and events, and help providers manage listings, activities, sessions, and media.
This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, when we share it, how long we keep it, and what choices and rights users have. This policy is intended to support our obligations under applicable privacy laws, including Indonesia Law No. 27 of 2022 on Personal Data Protection, and Apple App Store requirements.
1. Who uses KidRadar
KidRadar is intended to be used by:
- parents and guardians looking for places, events, and recommendations for children and families;
- business providers who create, claim, or manage listings, activities, sessions, and media.
The app is not intended for independent use by children without parental or guardian involvement.
2. Data we collect
We may collect the following categories of data:
A. Account and profile data
- email address and authentication identifiers;
- account role, such as parent, provider, or admin;
- profile details you choose to provide.
B. Provider listing and business data
- place, activity, and session information;
- uploaded photos and documents;
- business contact details, website links, phone numbers, WhatsApp numbers, addresses, maps links, and schedule information;
- moderation and claim-related information.
C. Family preference and app usage data
- saved places, saved activities, and saved AI plans;
- search queries, filters, opens, shares, map taps, and contact taps;
- AI recommendation queries, feedback, and related planning context;
- optional preference or onboarding inputs used to personalize the experience.
D. Technical and device data
- app version, runtime environment, device or session identifiers, and IP-derived technical data;
- push tokens, error logs, debugging data, and product analytics events used to improve stability and quality.
3. How we use data
We use personal data to:
- create and manage user accounts and sessions;
- let providers create, claim, edit, and maintain listings;
- show places, events, details, saved items, and recommendations;
- personalize discovery and improve search, filtering, ranking, and quality;
- measure product usage and provider engagement;
- detect abuse, fraud, moderation issues, and security problems;
- respond to support requests and operational issues;
- comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
4. Analytics
We use analytics tools, including Amplitude, to understand how the app is used, measure product performance, and improve the service.
We do not use analytics data for third-party advertising, and we do not sell personal data.
Where possible, we apply data minimization and avoid sending unnecessary personal data to analytics tools.
5. When we share data
We may share data with service providers that help us operate the service, including:
- hosting, backend, authentication, database, and storage providers;
- analytics providers;
- infrastructure and app distribution providers;
- email and communication providers;
- mapping or link-out services when you choose to open external map links.
We require service providers to use personal data only for legitimate service purposes and to protect it appropriately.
We may also disclose data where required by law, regulation, legal process, or to protect users, our service, or our rights.
6. International transfers
Our service providers and infrastructure may process data outside Indonesia. Where this happens, we take reasonable steps to ensure data is protected with appropriate safeguards consistent with applicable law.
7. Retention
We retain data only for as long as reasonably necessary for:
- account operation and service delivery;
- provider moderation and business records;
- analytics, security, and debugging;
- legal, tax, dispute, and compliance obligations.
When data is no longer required, we delete, anonymize, or securely archive it as appropriate.
8. Your rights and choices
Subject to applicable law, you may have rights to:
- access your personal data;
- correct inaccurate or incomplete data;
- request deletion of your account and associated personal data;
- withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;
- object to or restrict certain processing;
- request information about how your data is processed.
You may also use in-app account deletion where available. Some data may be retained where required by law or necessary for legitimate recordkeeping, fraud prevention, security, or dispute resolution.
9. Children and family use
KidRadar is designed for family discovery, but accounts are intended to be used by adults, including parents, guardians, and providers. If parents or guardians provide child-related preferences or planning information, we use that information only to support relevant app functionality and not for third-party advertising.
10. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or disclosure. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Third-party links and services
The app may contain links to third-party websites, map services, or provider contact channels. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, not this Privacy Policy.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date and may provide additional notice where appropriate.
